Jackie Milad is a practicing visual artist and independent curator based in Baltimore City. She began her curatorial career in 2001 as the Co-Founder of an artist-run venue, CHELA Gallery, which eventually evolved into the Transmodern Festival, an artist-run performance art and experimental media festival. Throughout her curatorial career Milad has been an active member of the mid-Atlantic arts community and fortunate to have worked with many nationally recognized emerging and mid-career artists. Jackie served as the Exhibitions Director for the Rosenberg Gallery at Goucher College (2005-2007), and has held the position of Gallery Curator for the Stamp Gallery and Contemporary Art Collection (2007-2014) and Curatorial Consultant for the Contemporary Art Purchasing Program (2007-2015) at University of Maryland in College Park. Milad served as the Chief Curator for the Delaware Contemporary (formerly Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts) in Wilmington (2015-2016). She currently is the Assistant Director of the Joseph Meyerhoff Center for Career Development at Maryland Institute College of Art. Milad earned her MFA from Towson University and her BFA from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University,
