Dialogues | Part 1 COMMODITY

  • STABLE 336 Randolph Place Northeast Washington, DC, 20002 United States (map)

Some artists make objects that are easily commodified. Some artists make art that addresses commodity as a subject. Some artists do both. Commodity looks at these issues through the lens of STABLE artists Tim Doud, Nekisha Durrett, Mathew Mann.

Moderator: Milena Kalinovska

Artists: Tim Doud, Nekisha Durrett, and Matthew Mann

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

Curated by nationally recognized Dr. Jordan Amirkhani, Dialogues exclusively features the work of the first cohort of STABLE artists and includes over 35 works, ranging from site-specific installation, photography, painting and sculpture.

“Dialogues invites viewers to discover what is happening inside STABLE’s studios, celebrate the founding of this unique organization, and support a community of artists nurtured by an ethics of inclusion, equity, radical generosity, and dialogue.” - Dr. Jordan Amirkhani
