Akio Tagawa is the president and CEO of Linea Solutions, a management and technology consulting firm dedicated to defined benefit and health and welfare plans in the public and private sectors, and one of the founders of Linea Secure, a cybersecurity consulting firm. Professionally and personally, he is an advocate for employee and retiree benefits and retirement security. Akio has been involved with various contemporary art organizations in Los Angeles and New York, and in Washington, DC is one of the chairs of the Hirshhorn National Museum of Modern Art’s Collectors’ Council. He is relatively new to collecting contemporary art, but has been collecting works of 20th century design for many years. He is also interested in culture, music and politics and serves on the board of KCRW, a prominent LA-based NPR affiliate.

Deepak Gupta is the founder of Gupta Wessler PLLC, a boutique law firm that focuses on Supreme Court, appellate, and constitutional litigation in the public interest. During the Obama Administration, he worked under Elizabeth Warren at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau as Senior Counsel for Litigation and Senior Counsel for Enforcement Strategy. He is currently a Wasserstein Public Interest Fellow at Harvard Law School and has previously taught as an adjunct law professor at Georgetown and American universities. Deepak has argued multiple cases before the U.S. Supreme Court and testified before the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate. He studied law at Georgetown, Sanskrit at Oxford, and philosophy at Fordham. 

As part of his varied legal practice, Deepak has occasionally represented artists and arts organizations—including a successful lawsuit under the Visual Artists Rights Act to protect the destruction of a celebrated mural in Detroit, fighting for copyright protection for photographs in the U.S. Supreme Court, and working with the ACLU to mount First Amendment objections to censorship restrictions by the D.C. Commission on the Arts & Humanities. In addition to Stable, Deepak sits on the boards of directors of The Impact Fund, the Alliance for Justice, and the National Consumer Law Center, the domestic policy board of the Biden Institute, and the advisory board of the University of California’s Civil Justice Research Initiative.
